Helen and I had a lovely day around Glasgow. We started with a delicious lunch at the charming Willow Tea Room.
I wanted to do some shopping so we hoofed it around the city. We paused to listen to a local band, Clanadonia. I best describe them as traditional Celtic music with a rock n roll twist. They were great, and I had to buy their CD. After that, I got a LOT of shopping done!
Of course I had to get my picture taken with the Duke of Wellington, complete with cone on his head (and on his horse's head too!). The cone has become a Glasgow tradition over the last 30 or so years. It's more about the Glaswegian sense of humor than any big political statement.
Our day ended with relaxation and packing.
