We left Paris in the morning before the butt crack of dawn. We boarded the Eurostar to London (2hrs) and then another train (sitting backwards) 4 1/2 hours to Glasgow, Scotland.
Riding backwards doesn't usually bother me, but about an hour into the train ride I started getting a headache and a bit of nausea. I had to close my eyes most of the way. Poor Helen, she really was getting me at my worst!
I was thrilled to get into the fresh air and then into a BRIGHT pink cab to Helen's place! She has a lovely home and CHARMING boyfriend with a thick Scottish accent. His name is Tom, and he sings, so he must be practically perfect, right?!
